About ECAC

The Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) at Learning Community Charter School (LCCS) is a collaborative group of educators, school leaders, families, and community partners dedicated to supporting our youngest learners. The council serves as a platform for shared decision-making, communication, and advocacy to strengthen early childhood programs at LCCS.

Mission Statement

The Early Childhood Advisory Council at LCCS is committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of all young learners. Through collaboration with families, educators, and the community, the council works to promote equitable access to high-quality early childhood experiences and resources that foster school readiness and lifelong success.

Purpose

The LCCS ECAC works to:

  • Support high-quality early childhood education programs
  • Strengthen connections between families, school staff, and community resources
  • Promote school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Provide a space for families to share feedback and engage in school initiatives
  • Ensure equitable access to services and supports for all students

What We Do

The ECAC meets regularly to:

  • Review and discuss early childhood programming and initiatives
  • Share resources and best practices with families and staff
  • Identify needs within the school community and collaborate on solutions
  • Support family engagement and participation in school activities
  • Advise on policies and practices that impact early childhood education at LCCS

 

Membership

The ECAC is composed of school administrators, teachers, support staff, and parent representatives who work together to support early childhood initiatives.

We encourage families of students in our early childhood grades to get involved with ECAC. Your voice and perspective are valuable in helping us build a strong and supportive learning environment for all children.
