Board of Trustees
The governance of Learning Community Charter School is entrusted to a dedicated Board of Trustees, whose primary role is to uphold the school's mission by ensuring its current and future well-being. The Board fulfills this responsibility by safeguarding the public interest and maintaining public trust through adherence to the highest standards of governance as outlined in the school's Charter, by-laws, and relevant state and federal regulations. Central to its duties, the Board plans strategically, establishes policies, and evaluates the overall performance of the school. It holds ultimate oversight over the school's finances and physical facilities. Additionally, the Board plays a crucial role in selecting, supporting, and evaluating the Head of School, who serves as the professional educational leader and administrator of the institution. To effectively carry out these responsibilities, the Board organizes, manages, and evaluates its operations in a streamlined, efficient manner akin to that of a business.
