Message from McNair/Infinity

Admission to McNair Academic HS and Infinity Institute is selective and based on student academic performance, their score on the PSAT 8/9, and a written application (among other things).  This year we will use the PSAT 8/9 as the admissions test for these schools.  The test is being given to all Jersey City Public School students in their schools on TBA.  Students not attending Jersey City Public Schools who wish to apply to McNair Academic or Infinity Institute should take the PSAT 8/9 at their own school if it is administered there, or they can take it at MS 7 on TBA.  You must be registered to take the test.  Contact your school for information (see above).

Students are also required to submit an application which will be available on TBA and will be due on TBA.

Acquiring Your Child's Score Reports

1. Create a college board account (this will be a shell account until reports are generated on December 4th.)
2. Use your child's unique, access code, provided by Collegeboard, via email, on December 11th, to access the score reports.
3. Call 866.433.7728 if you are finding difficulty with any of those steps. (Agent I.D. #4037207 would be happy to field calls.)

Important things to note
  • On the PSAT, your children had to bubble question #26 accurately and note LCCS' contact information and address, IF THEY WANTED SCORES TO BE SENT TO LCCS. (Otherwise, we do not receive them.)
  • On the PSAT, your children had to fill in their correct home addresses and email addresses, IF THEY WANTED SCORES TO BE ELECTRONICALLY OR MAIL-DELIVERED TO THEM. (Otherwise, you will not receive the access code email on TBA.)
  • Should none of the above-mentioned steps work, you are to call collegeboard, provide your child's first name, last name and date of birth. They will then provide you with the access code, via telephone, and instruct you to repeat the above-mentioned steps.
After the mid December date, I will be reaching out to all of you independently, to acquire your child's scores.

Please be mindful that LCCS has zero control over collegeboard and McNair, so any difficulties you are experiencing after following the above-mentioned steps, you will need to reach out to those two entities independently.
