Brief Description: Serves students in grades 6 through 12. Academically rigorous. Infinity eighth graders must apply with their peers throughout the district to continue into ninth grade. Infinity Institute outperforms 100% of schools statewide.  In addition, to ensure diversity, the school selects an equal number of top-ranked students who identify on the application as African American, Asian, Hispanic, and “Other,” which includes White, Native American, and Pacific Islander. 


Applications Available: November 1, 2017 picked up by Ms. Muse (You may only receive an application if you took the PSAT on October 11, 2017)

Application Deadline: December 1, 2017 submitted to Ms. Muse 

Application Process: PSAT admissions test & essay required  October 11th, 2017  (*Results of test shared with Infinity)
Must fill out separate application for McNair and Infinity, as that is not shared

If you are considering submitting an application to McNair and/or Infinity, you must adhere to the following steps and meet the accompanying deadlines:
  • Friday, Sept. 22- before this date, contact me via email, to confirm that you want your child to take the PSAT. I will confirm receipt via email. If you do not receive a confirmation email from me, then I did not receive it and your child will not be permitted to take the PSAT.
  • October 6th, 9th & 10th -you must physically sign off on and pick up the testing admissions ticket from me. I am located in room 320 and will hold later office hours those dates.  No testing tickets will be sent to families electronically or given to students. At this time, I will also provide you with an identification letter with your child's name and state i.d. number that you must present to McNair advisers at the time of the test. 

Applicant RankingsBased on criteria such as PSAT score, personal essays, recommendations from the eighth grader’s school officials, extracurricular activities, and grammar school grades.
