LCCS is a diverse and successful school that succeeds despite the grossly unfair financial limitations placed upon it. At times my wife and I feel like we are in Mayberry. The faculty and administration greet each child as they enter the building each day. Learning Community should be a model for urban elementary schools throughout the country. We are lucky to have our children have the opportunity to attend but more importantly are happy and thriving there.

When I came to LCCS I found a home and a community. I found smaller classes, teachers that actually care and listen to me. I found a loving community where I wish I could stay forever...I love LCCS because the standard is high. When I first came to LCCS I didn't think I could do the work, but my teachers made me believe I could do it...The teachers help you and stick by your side to help you until you get it. Then they give you harder work and go the extra mile to make sure you are learning to the best of your ability.
