THINK TANK AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Learning Community Charter School offers its students a wide variety of after school enrichment activities. The after school program is called THINK TANK and is available daily from 3:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 12:20 p.m. to 6 p.m. on most half days. The program provides homework help and offers a variety of clubs taught by parents and community members.
Students may also attend for a one day "drop in" for $18 per child. No club activities are available for drop ins.
The year is divided into 3 sessions, each session lasts 12/13 weeks. You can sign your child up for1 day a week, 5 days a week or anything in between. THINK TANK is also available on a daily as-need basis for an $18 fee. Please give advanced notice. There is a sliding fee scale for the sessions, so no students are left out of the program. Once a student is enrolled in THINK TANK, there is no extra admittance charge for clubs or activities. Some clubs may have a one time $5 or$10 materials fee. Snack is provided daily.
Unless otherwise noted, clubs have an enrollment limit of 12 students. Clubs fill quickly, and we make every effort to enroll students in the clubs they want. Clubs are not filled on a first come, first served basis, but every effort is made to ensure students can be enrolled in at least one club per session. Often they can enroll in two or three. Students will attend Homework Helpers when they are not participating in a club.
2015 FALL Session: General THINK TANK will begin on Tuesday 9/8. CLUBS will begin the week of 9/14. (The delayed club start is a change from previous years)
